Updated sizing software
The latest version of iLevel’s free, single-member sizing software — Forte 2010 — sizes vertical and horizontal framing members. Design professionals can quickly size freestanding posts, studs, and columns embedded in wall systems, in addition to beams, joists, and headers. Other recent enhancements include the ability to size dimension lumber and engineered wood products, and the capability to account for seismic and wind loads.
Insulated wall panels and framing products
The International Code Council’s Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) granted the acceptance criterion to CarbonCast High Performance Insulated Wall Panels for the C-GRID carbon fiber grid truss system used to connect the inner and outer withes of the precast concrete wall panels. The acceptance criterion means the ICC-ES has approved a method for evaluating product samples from each AltusGroup precaster licensed to fabricate the system. ICC-ES also gave evaluation report ESR-1166P to Dietrich Metal Framing (a Worthington Industries company) for its structural framing products. The certification provides confirmation that Dietrich Structural Framing Products meet or exceed the 2006 International Building Code and the 2006 International Residential Code. Additionally, the CBC Supplement to ESR-1166P provides certification of compliance with the 2007 CBC.
