Self-healing waterproofing from OCM
Featuring watertight integrity, flexibility, adhesiveness, and self-healing characteristics, OCM, Inc., says its Turbo-Seal P Waterproofing System is an ideal and reliable choice for permanent waterproofing in new construction and repair applications. Turbo-Seal is a flexible gel that bonds to any surface to create an impervious waterproofing membrane. Comprising a highly elastomeric polymer rubber (containing more than 25 percent post-consumer recycled content) infused with special adhesives, Turbo-Seal absorbs movement, minimizes damage and separation, and is resistant to wide temperature fluctuations. The product never fully cures, the company said.

YKK-AP launches enerGfacade family of products
As part of the YKK Group’s 50th anniversary in the architectural products business, the company launched a family of energy-efficient products called enerGfacade. The family includes Luminance, ThermaShade, and YOW350T. According to the manufacturer, the Luminance light shelf system substantially improves interior daylight with highly reflective melamine surfaces that diffuse light deeper into the interior; the ThermaShade system is designed to improve tenant comfort and lower energy consumption by decreasing solar heat gain; and the YOW350T is a heavy-duty, architectural grade window system that includes a triple-glazing feature with integral blinds, which provides strong solar heat gain control for structures.

Deep pile evaluation instrument from Pile Dynamics
Pile Dynamics, Inc., manufactures Length Inductive Test Equipment (LITE) that evaluates the length of steel piles (H-piles, pipe piles, cased drilled shafts, steel sheet piles) using the inductive field method. When length determination is key for foundation reuse or when unexpected settlement or scour raise concerns about bearing capacity, foundation testing engineers should consider using LITE for length determination of steel piles. According to the company, operation is simple and data interpretation straightforward. Users lower the inductive sensor of the LITE into a PVC-lined hole drilled within 18 inches of the pile to be tested and observe the resulting Voltage reading. As long as the inductive device senses the proximity of metal or other conductive material, the LITE will show a high voltage. If there is no metal in the neighborhood, then the voltage will drop to a low value.

ICC-ES produces HRC ER report
Headed Reinforcement Corporation (HRC) introduces the next generation of T-headed bars to be approved by ICC Evaluation Report ESR-2935. According to HRC, the HRC 555 Series T-Heads simplify rebar details and reduce congestion while improving concrete consolidation and lowering the in-place costs compared with conventional bent bars. With the point of maximum stress near the end of the bar, HRC 555 Series can achieve ultimate capacity-bar break, according to HRC. The head-to-bar connection is designed to meet the stress and strain capacity of the reinforcing bar. There is no field assembly.
