ASCE 7-05 Section 12.6: Analysis Procedure Selection

Section 12.6 specifies when a dynamic analysis is required. The philosophy underlying this section is that dynamic analysis is always acceptable for design. Static procedures are allowed only under certain conditions of regularity, occupancy, and height. The following types of static and dynamic analysis procedures are addressed in ASCE 7-05.
