Located on the Las Vegas strip, the $1.9 billion, 50-story Palazzo literally takes luxury to new heights. The tower complex has 3,066 guest suites, 450,000 square feet of world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment; and an underground parking garage with space for 4,330 cars on four levels.

Luxurious accommodations are not the whole story, however. Another mark of distinction is The Palazzo’s receipt of a silver LEED rating from the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. The rating recognizes aspects such as its recycled content, solar heating features, water and temperature controls, and construction waste recycling.

At 8.3 million square feet, The Palazzo Resort Hotel is the largest LEED-certified building in the world ― more than four times the size of any other certified building. The distinction proves that green design and construction does not shortchange the quality of the structure.

Designed by HKS Inc., with Walter P Moore as structural engineer, The Palazzo is actually an expansion of The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino complex next door. Engineers delivered a contiguous building by matching up floor plates of the two structures to create a smooth transition between the two properties at the podium levels.
