Call for papers — 7th World Congress on Joints, Bearings and Seismic Systems for Concrete Structures

IJBRC — The International Joints & Bearings Research Council (IJBRC) has announced that it is soliciting papers for the 7th World Congress on Joints, Bearings and Seismic Systems for Concrete Structures.

Papers are being sought for presentation at the conference and inclusion in the proceedings on such topics as methods for measuring and predicting structural movements that influence joint and bearing performance; properties and test procedures for joint sealants; movement and load capacity parameters of bearings; joint and bearing systems to accommodate seismic and other dynamic forces; criteria for system failure, joint or bearing replacement and performance of anchorage systems, interfaces and embedment.

The list is not intended to be restrictive and all papers appropriate to the subject will be considered.

Potential papers will be selected on the basis of peer review of a 200 word abstract before authors are invited to submit the full paper for acceptance review. Deadline for abstracts is September 1. Abstracts should be sent to Ron Watson, chair, 7th World Congress, e-mail: ijbrc@rjwatson.com, fax: (716) 691-3305.
