ClarkDietrich(TM) Building Systems Reinforces Commitment to Sustainable Building with LEED(R) Accredited Engineering Team

WEST CHESTER, Ohio – Three members of ClarkDietrich(TM) Building Systems’ engineering services team recently achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED(R)) accreditation. Two members obtained the title of Green Associate and one reached the status of Accredited Professional.

“Having LEED-accredited team members allows us to provide clients with the best and most creative solutions available to their market. We are equipped to offer LEED credit advice and LEED AP product documentation for any project installing ClarkDietrich products,” said Bill Courtney, President and CEO at ClarkDietrich Building Systems. “In some cases, clients can earn up to seven LEED credits by using ClarkDietrich’s products and services.”

The LEED Green Associate credential illustrates an individual’s expertise in nontechnical fields of practice and confirms knowledge and understanding of sustainable design, construction and processes. ClarkDietrich recognizes Keith Johnson, Senior Technical Services Representative, and Brent Owens, General Manager, for their achievements. Passing the LEED Green Associate exam is the first step to becoming a LEED Accredited Professional.

LEED Accredited Professionals offer advanced knowledge of building practices, with emphasis on the LEED rating system, and can specialize in certain practice areas. Robert Warr, P.E., Director of Engineering Services, achieved his LEED AP credential by specializing in LEED Building, Design + Construction. ClarkDietrich clients can earn an additional LEED credit by having Warr review and approve LEED documentation.

ClarkDietrich engineering services offers LEED support in addition to full service engineering services specializing in cold-formed steel, including sealed shop drawings and calculations for curtain (non-bearing) and full load-bearing designs, building information modeling (BIM), preliminary sizing and pre-bid engineering pricing.
