Engineering the Impossible: Rome 

Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, The Discovery Channel, Atlantic Productions and Arup will present a look at the engineering behind some of the world’s most iconic structures: The Roman Coliseum, Nero’s Palace, The Baths of Caracalla and The Pantheon.

Arup’s Stephen Burrows, CBE leads a team of four experts in decoding these structures: how and why they were built where they were; how they survive and what they can teach the modern engineer and architect.
