gkkworks provides energy-efficient design and construction for Pierce College M&O project 

WOODLAND HILLS, CALIF. — gkkworks is providing design-build services for the LACCD Pierce College Facilities Maintenance and Operations Building. The project currently is under construction and is scheduled for completion this fall, according to the firm. gkkworks incorporated a "Net Zero" energy solution into the Pierce College M&O project whereby 100 percent of the facility's energy needs are generated onsite. Energy also is generated to support the planned needs of the adjacent upcoming horticulture facilities. Furthermore, the new facility is designed to meet or exceed LEED Gold certification standards.
