NORTHBROOK, ILL. — Predrag (Pete) Popovic, an internationally recognized expert in bridge and structural repairs, has begun serving his three-year term as president of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE).

A member of IABSE since 1985, Popovic is only the second individual from the United States to hold this position. He currently serves as vice president and senior principal at Wiss, Janney, Elstner (WJE) Associates Inc.
