ÖSTERSUND, SWEDEN — Skanska has secured the assignment to construct a new hospital campus in North Carolina for a repeat client. The contract amounts to $141 million, which will be included in order bookings for the first quarter of 2011. This will be the third project Skanska has completed for this client.

The new campus consists of a 22,000-square-meter patient tower, a diagnostic and treatment building, a 5,500-square-meter office building, a central energy plant, and associated site work.

The project is planned to achieve LEED certification. Work will begin in late April and is scheduled for completion in July 2015.
