FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. — Originally published in the May 2011 issue of Structural Engineering & Design, the continuing education course “BIM in a Cloud II: BIM and Cloud Computing for Structural Engineering” recently received AIA/CES approval. The course is worth 1 learning unit (LU).

To receive credit for this course, participants must study the course material, complete the quiz online, and attain a comprehension level of at least 80 percent.

By completing continuing education courses, architects and engineers can maintain competency and fulfill their continuing education requirements for AIA membership or state licensure. Architectural boards in 42 states and the District of Columbia, 11 Canadian provinces, and 19 countries have implemented mandatory continuing education for state license renewal, according to the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
