NEW YORK — James Cardillo, P.E., and Chris Cerino, P.E., have been named to key leadership positions within STV's Buildings & Facilities Division. Both Cardillo and Cerino will report to Al Klein, P.E., LEED AP, senior vice president and chief engineer of the division.

As structural discipline leader and a senior associate in STV's Douglassville, Pa., office, Cardillo will manage the central region's structural group and play a key role in business development opportunities.

Cardillo brings to STV more than 30 years of experience in a variety of projects, including high-rise, mid-rise and low-rise buildings; hospitals; arenas; performing arts, retail and educational facilities; as well as municipal and industrial work, hotels and casinos. Prior to joining the firm, Cardillo was the regional director for the Lehigh Valley area at a structural engineering firm in Pennsylvania.

Cerino has joined STV as a senior associate and lead structural engineer in the Buildings & Facilities Division's eastern organization and will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the division's structural group in New York.

He has more than 15 years of experience as a structural engineer, and has been involved with award-winning and innovative projects. Throughout his career, he has served as structural engineer for many distinctive buildings, most recently the 709-foot-tall Shangri-La Hotel in New York City and the podium façade for the Cosmopolitan Casino in Las Vegas. He also provided structural engineering for such notable projects as the iconic IAC/InterActiveCorp Headquarters in the Chelsea District of Manhattan, the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College, and the Lewis Library at Princeton University, all designed by Frank Gehry.
